The OCPP communication protocol was developed and made available by the Netherlands-based Open Charge Alliance (OCA) to push open standards for EV charging networks globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Every <a href=\"https:\/\/mobec.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EV charging station<\/a> must be compatible with every charger management program, which is the responsibility of the OCPP. Charge points rely on OCPP compliance to enable charging sessions, manage remote diagnostics, and ensure a secure data transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">There are various improvements over OCPP 1.6 in the most recent version, 2.0.1.
